31 Days of Simple Goodness: Fall Cider

Oh my!  I can barely stand it!  I am opening my recipe box today to share two different recipes with you that I just know you’re going to like; no, you’re going to love!  I’ll bet my sweet bippy on it…whatever a bippy is.

When fall arrives, I make sure to have the ingredients on hand for hot apple cider.

The first one…

Easiest Apple Cider
Into a large crock pot pour a half gallon of apple cider (not the spiced or sweetened kind).
Plop in two Celestial Seasonings Gingerbread Spice tea bags. (I find these at the health food store).
Turn the crock pot onto the High setting and let the brew do its thing.  Enjoy!

The second one…

Thanks rgbstock for having this photo!

Easy Apple Cider
Into a percolator that you use only for cider because the spices will affect anything perked in it from now on, pour a quart of apple cider or juice (not spiced or sweetened), and a quart of cranberry juice cocktail.
Add 1/2 cup of brown sugar and stir just a little.
Now, put the basket of the percolator into place.  In the basket put 3 cinnamon sticks, 9 whole cloves, and 9 whole allspice berries.
Cover the percolator with the lid affixed firmly in place.
Perk away and then enjoy!

See?  I told you they’d be simply delicious and pretty good for you, too!
