A Christmas Walk

Let me tell you that I just got back in from my walk this morning. The temperature was cool and refreshing. The sky was filled with pink puffy clouds and my ears were tuned in to Christmas music on my iPod.

It was the best walk in a long time. Maybe I should listen to Christmas music all the time on my walk. I’d probably grow accustomed to it, though.

Today’s selection was from last year’s Christmas release by Jars of Clay. It’s not your typical Christmas album. If you have teenagers in the house, they would probably enjoy it. It’s not screaming or heavy metal but actually has a kind of retro nuance to it. Regardless, it was a wonderland walk!

Tonight, through the generosity of a sweet couple, Rob and I are being treated to a concert in Atlanta. Michael W. Smith and Steven Curtis Chapman will be singing and praising God and I am pumped! I can hardly wait! I have not seen the two together before so this ought to be FABULOUS!

I conclude today encouraging you to break out some fresh tunage, maybe your Christmas cds. If you have Point of Grace’s Christmas cd, listen to All is Well. I wish I could sing like that. That song gives me goose bumps on my goose bumps at the end of my hair. I’m not kidding. Here’s a rough video from one of their concerts where it is being sung. Rather than watch it, click on the arrow and listen. Enjoy!
