Jesus the Savior. That’s the name we will focus on this week in Immanuel.
In the Hebrew we see Yeshua (pronounced ye-shu-AH) as our English transliteration . To hear it pronounced, click here, scroll down to “Jesus” on that page and click on the mic symbol, then come back.
In the Greek we see Jesous Sotair (pronounced yay-SOUS so-TAIR) as the English transliteration. Click here for pronunciation of the first and here for the second word.
Look at you learning a bit of Hebrew and a bit of Greek!
Just what do you think of when you ponder the word Savior?

I received a question via the comments from Lyn asking if there were any way to put the video on full screen. Since I am uploading the video from my digital camera straight to blogger, I am sorry to say that I don’t think it’s possible with Blogger (like it would be with Vimeo and YouTube). It would be great for those of you doing this in small group settings. It’s certainly food for thought down the road. I’ll see what I can do. In the meantime, gather the group in a huddle and look on. It makes me think of what the first television viewers must have had to do. I apologize for the inconvenience.
