Hebrews 3:1

In a nutshell, if you missed the study today, read Hebrews 3:1 – “Therefore, holy brethren, partakers of a heavenly calling, consider Jesus, the Apostle and High Priest of our confession.”

Other than what we discussed in our time together about Jesus as our High Priest, His substitutionary atonement, and the benefits of both to those of us who believe, some things to remind ourselves about this one passage is if you are a believer in Christ:

– you are holy, set apart
– you are His brother (sister)
– you are a partaker of a heavenly calling
– you are to consider Jesus.

I thought it was really neat how Philippians 2:5-11 parallel Hebrews 1 and Hebrews 2.

That gets me so excited when I recognize God is truly showing up in His Word throughout His Word, all the time. I love finding those cross-references that make passages clear to our minds.

Can you believe we are only three lessons away from finishing part 1 and then we will move straight into part 2? Time flies!

You all have been such wonderful friends in the Word and I so appreciate each of you. Hang in there as we continue to press on, hold fast, and consider Jesus.

Until tomorrow…
