Help Me Fill My Spiral Verse Thing

Posted by on Mar 18, 2010 in Blog Posts | 4 comments

Well, lots of you have been kind to want to help me in some way during this time.  I have been overwhelmed by the generous outpouring of prayer, notes, food, and flowers during this time.  I am so thankful to God for your love and encouragement.

Today’s request is easy.  Please don’t let me down.  Really.

I am compiling my favorite Scriptures in a spiral index card ring.  It would minister to me if you wanted to share with me a verse or two you think would minister to me during the coming days/weeks/months.

Here are your instructions:
1.  Familiarize yourself with how to leave a comment by looking somewhere on this site for those instructions.
2.  Put your name and where you are next
3.  Put the verse address and the translation
4.  Type out the actual verse – remember it needs to fit on a 3×5 index card…so don’t put a whole chapter.  If you have an entire chapter, say so, but put the key verse that applies.

Thank you ahead of time for blessing me with this.
Another option is this:  If you know my mailing address (I don’t want to list it here for security reasons), send me a 3×5 card in your handwriting with all the above info on it.  Thank you!

  1. Have you not known? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God,the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength. Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted; but they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:28-31 ESV

    Love ya!

  2. Remember the comfort of holding our daddy’s hand as little girls and receive that same comfort from holding our Father’s hand today!

My soul clings to you; your right hand upholds me. Ps 63:8 NIV

Yet I am always with you; you hold me by my right hand. Ps 73:23 NIV

The LORD watches over you— the LORD is your shade at your right hand. Ps 121:5 NIV

For I am the LORD, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you. Isaiah 41:13

    Love you!

  3. Psalm 91
1 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.

2 I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust.”

3 Surely he will save you from the fowler’s snare
    and from the deadly pestilence.

4 He will cover you with his feathers,
    and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.

Sorry to be slow with this.
    Love and prayers, Kris Anders

  4. For God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power and love and discipline. 2 Timothy 1:7

Cast all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7

I will never leave you or forsake you. Hebrews 13:5

I can do all things through Him who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13

The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace. Exodus 14:14

    Love and prayers,
