I’m enjoying my laptop. It has really opened my eyes to how much I rely on a computer. When I had the CPU plugged into the wall, I never ran out of power, unless the electricity went out. Even for that, I bought a battery backup in case I was in the middle of some blog post or email that could not be retrieved without power backup.
With this laptop, I just charge the battery and go. About every day, the percentage of battery use available decreases at which time a message pops up to tell me that I’m running on reserve power. It suggests that I plug the laptop back in to a power source in order to charge the battery again. Fortunately, I can continue to use the laptop plugged in.
Reserve power. Somehow that reminds me of running on empty spiritually. It reminds me of how important it is to spend time in prayer and the Word daily in order to meet the challenges ahead for the day (some known and some unknown). We have to keep ourselves renewing our minds in the Truths of God’s Word in order to handle the numerous scenarios that will play out in the next 24 hours.
Is your power supply depleted because time with God is not a priority? Are you tired and about to run out of….
energy? Perhaps it’s time to reconnect with the Lord.
When will you do that today?
