Good news first! My Envoy is going to look like the Clampett wagon for sure. I am in the throws of preparing to vacate this hot and humid climate for a less hot but still humid one. I head to the mountains Wednesday for some time with my sister. Rob and the guys (with their girlfriends) will join me up there after Louann leaves for home. It is becoming more of a chore to decide which cookbooks to take and pilfer through along with Bible study material and books to read just for the fun of it. My needlework bag is calling to me, too. I better take a magnifier for that. These eyes aren’t what they used to be. Beans and I will pack way too much stuff into my car and make the trek up to “them thar hills”! There are not enough hours to do what I somehow think I can do. I am so looking forward to the change of scenery and temperature. It is warmer than usual there as well, though.
Here’s the bad news. Since I don’t have a laptop my attempts to blog will be hit or miss. There is a library there with computers and internet access, but my past attempts to check email alone have made me leave the place close to tears at not being able to stay in constant communication with friends! It is really a big deal to me.
With all that said, check the blog from time to time over the next couple of weeks, but don’t be surprised if you see nothing new. I can post short things from the cell phone, so if necessary, I may get crazy with that and send a “thought for the day” kind of thing. Hmmmm. My wheels are spinning. I think I may have to give it a test run before I leave so I can check to make sure it works.
I will be back to the blog from my own computer after July 6, Lord willing. In the meantime, hug yourselves. If you’ve missed some posts, this is a good time to catch up. Some of you who like to cook could search “recipes” within this blog and any I’ve typed in will show up. Also, if you leave comments, know that they won’t show up until after I get back. But, please don’t let that stop you from commenting. Don’t know how? Look to the left of this page and you’ll see some directions for doing so.
Enjoy the vacation from the blog, but y’all come back now, you hear!?
