Unpacking from She Speaks 2012

Kelli, me, and Sharita at She Speaks

I am back home from the whirlwind weekend at She Speaks.  What a great time it was as 650 of us gathered for sessions with those ahead of us on the writing, speaking, and leading journey to learn from them, gathering much information to process.

Encouragement abounded as Lysa TerKeurst, Renee Swope, Karen Ehman, Whitney Capps, Luann Prater, and Liz Curtis Higgs shared biblical messages in the general sessions.  A plethora of others gifted in their callings and ministries both on and off staff with Proverbs 31 Ministries shared their advice in the breakout sessions.

I rode with two others from my hometown and you will want to check out their blogs, too!  Kelli Wommack and Sharita Knobloch were wonderful traveling companions and on our way home we recapped the highlights of what we learned from God and from others during our time in Concord, NC.

All three of us are excited to see how God will use the gifts of writing and speaking He has given us to bring encouragement, hope, and most of all the truth of His Word to others.

So, I am home.  I have just unpacked my suitcase.  Laundry is going.

But, I had to tell you something  before resuming my home keeping.

I  also unpacked valuable information that I plan to implement right away here and in preparation for speaking in the future.

I hope you will notice these changes in the days ahead and be blessed by them.

Here I am, taking the next step thankful for God’s gracious goodness that flowed from this past weekend!

Love you and yes, I am so glad we found the keys! How many facials could we have had? Hmmmm. Rob says he would have paid for me to fly home. Sounds like I almost could have left y’all stranded. : /

      You’re a blessing!

    • Hey Katherine,
I look forward to sharing things either in written form or visually as I make changes and continue to put into place some things learned from the weekend.
You have always been a sweet encourager for me and that ministers to me more than YOU will ever know. I appreciate your genuine support. Love you!

  6. I’m not going to lie: I’m a little jealous of all 650 of you who were able to attend She Speaks this past weekend. Maybe God will make a way for me to go next year. 😉

I just came over from WLWW. I’m excited to read and see what you unpack from the conference. Also, I am so encouraged by the verse from Psalms in your header — don’t change that!

    • I am so glad you came on over from WLWW! Thank you for taking the time to read the post and for commenting.

My prayer is that you will have the opportunity to go to SS2013. It was beneficial even though I have so much I wish to learn. I’m learning to continue taking things one step at a time.

At some point, P31 Ministries will make available some of their CDs from the weekend. So, keep your eyes open and grab some that appeal to your particular area and “attend” a bit from this year’s conference.

I hope to return next year and I will see you there, Lord willing. Keep me posted okay?
