Welcome to Digging Deep!

Welcome! What am I thinking? Today is laundry day and I find myself wanting to begin a blog for a couple of reasons.

First, this wonderful group of women and I are about to embark on a journey through the book of Hebrews. We begin Thursday. As the majority of the group have gone from Genesis straight through Ruth, we’ve encountered cross references in Hebrews. I believe God has been preparing my heart to take on this New Testament book and I am excited. So, the first purpose of this blog is to have a place for the members to come to for encouragement as well as a place to share encouragement with one another as we DIG DEEP in God’s Word for the next nine months.

Second, it’s the place where we can be real and with that in mind, I’ll be sharing some of my real life: the funny moments, the uh-oh mistakes, the growth spurts in my walk with Christ, and other things God lays on my heart to share freely. I think this scares me more than reading Hebrews and studying it inductively.

God, I dedicate this blog to You. You own it all, including this web address and so I pray it will bring You glory and that it pleases You. I pray the truth in Your Word would be upheld and honored no matter the cost. I love You God and I bless You today! Amen.

The laundry awaits!

  1. I know what you mean by feeling “scattered”. I have had that same feeling, as well, which is a good excuse for not visiting the Digging Deep blog until today. (-: Maybe my problem has to do with getting older and difficulty in moving from Summer into Fall events and responsibilities. I am glad to be back into Bible study and I already have been blessed by its Truth. Lou Anne
