Worship

Five Minute FridayIt’s Five Minute Friday and I’m writing with other bloggers about today’s key word…KONICA MINOLTA DIGITAL CAMERA

Worship.

I was meeting with the ladies who have been reunited after summer’s rest (or busyness depending on how you view it) to resume our study of the book of Revelation.

In recapping what we’ve learned from the first two parts of out study last year, we went chapter by chapter to review the theme or gist of each chapter. All 22 of them.

I began reading to them the part where John is seeing in heaven and a book or scroll with seven seals is held up but there was no one anywhere worthy to open the book. And John wept.

{Have you ever wondered if God could handle something?}

But then, the Lion from the tribe of Judah (the Lamb that was slain) approached the One seated on the throne in heaven (God) and he was deemed worthy to take the book and break the seals.

{Welcome to the club. I’ve wondered the same. He can handle it all.}

In that moment, all in heaven began singing and praising this worthy One who would be able to break the seals. The One who from the foundation of the world was already deemed worthy to break the seals. Wrap your mind around that.

 {He has plans. He keeps His promises. He follows through with His plans.}

And I pause in this quiet house remembering the number of times I have cried in my life because God’s plan was not apparent and I grew hopeless and discouraged. I wondered if He would rescue me, my family, my health, my house.

He is worthy of our worship. His worth should be boasted and come from my heart and my mouth through laughter and tears as I commit my worship to blessing Him for His goodness and faithfulness, His righteous judgement to come, His redemption of us through His Son…talk about a plan! Wow! His worth should be boasted even when I am barely hanging on wondering if He is aware…the El Roi God Who sees it all. How can I forget? How can I not praise Him as I hold fast to faith no matter the circumstances?

{Worship Him. He is worthy. Believe it.}

Friend, don’t give up in believing in His worth. He is all He says He is and more…whether you can muster the strength to believe that in your trials or not. He is.

    Popping by from #fmfparty 🙂 x

    • Be encouraged! He is worthy because of Who He is.

  3. Amy, last night after hubby and babies were in bed I started reading Revelation and it really sunk in how much Christ is worthy. Esp. this “I began reading to them the part where John is seeing in heaven and a book or scroll with seven seals is held up but there was no one anywhere worthy to open the book. And John wept.” It made me weep too today thinking of that NO ONE not ONE. Praise God whom still is faithful to us even when not one of us has been faithful to him!

    • What a God to give us a Savior to redeem us! Hallelujah!

  4. Amy, That must be an amazing time of studying! I would love it! There are times that I wonder (not if he can take) but why he would want to. I have had so many moments in my life that I just stand back and shake my head! hugs FMF friend!

    • He is our amazing Savior, isn’t he? I’m right there with you. Mind blown.
