A New Look

Happy almost new year!

I decided it was time to create a new look for the blog since I have a new look (smile).  I hope you like the updated fresh look and colors.

Today is my birthday.  The American Cancer Society’s campaign this year sports the motto, “The official sponsor of birthdays.”  I like that.

Ultimately, I know in my heart and mind that God is the Official sponsor and creator of all my birthdays past, present, and future.  For that, I am most grateful.

In typical fashion, I have spent some time reflecting on this past year.  I would do that even if it weren’t my birthday simply because of the date.  But, since my birthday is the last day of the year, it simplifies how many times I reflect in a year’s time…one big reflection with a small smattering of reflecting moments here and there.

With that in mind, I wanted to share the books that have ministered to me the most this year:

  • Daily Light by Bagster/Lotz
  • Streams in the Desert by LB Cowman and updated by Jim Reimann
  • Praying Through Cancer by Sorensen/Giest (a gift from my sister early on)
  • The One Year Book of Hope by Nancy Guthrie
  • The One Year Bible (New Living Translation).

Tomorrow’s a new day, a new YEAR!  What does God have in store for each of us?  I want to approach it as Jesus reminds me.

Matthew 6:34    “So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”
